Markets
The countries you can sell in — how long each takes to provision a line, and which changes it supports afterwards.
Markets
A market is the country a line belongs to — the country code you pass when you obtain a
line, and the one /v1/rates prices. It decides which operator carries the line,
how long provisioning takes, and which changes you can make afterwards.
This page is the list. Every other page links here rather than repeating it.
| Market | Average time to provision a line | Suspension and data stop |
|---|---|---|
| Denmark, France, Netherlands, Spain | Under a minute | Supported |
| Belgium, Germany | 5 minutes | Supported |
| Poland, United Kingdom | 10 minutes | Supported |
| Sweden | 30 minutes | Supported |
| United States | 35 minutes | Supported |
| Canada, Norway | A couple of hours | Not supported |
Provisioning times are averages over the last 90 days, not limits: any single line can take longer. Wait for the API to report the line in service rather than a timer.
Markets that take hours
Some operators publish no API, so Telgea integrates with them off-API. Ordering a line, porting a
number in, replacing a SIM and ending a plan all work as they do anywhere else — the same calls, the
same shapes, the same statuses — but a change takes a couple of hours rather than minutes. Poll on a
scale of hours, and never read a long PROVISIONING as a failure.
Markets that do not stop service
Those same markets sell one plan covering the whole country, with nothing to stop short of ending the plan. On a line there:
- Suspending the number returns
400and the line stays live. - Stopping mobile data returns
422and nothing changes. - Ending the plan works, as it does everywhere.
Port-in dates
The dates a number can be ported in on differ by market: how soon the first one is, and how far ahead
the last. They are always weekdays. Each port-in type on
GET /v1/port-ins/fields/{countryCode} lists
them in executionDate, as the port-in guide
shows. Read them from there rather than keeping a table of your own: they change as operators confirm
their rules, with nothing for you to deploy.
Adding a market
A market you have not contracted for answers 403 COUNTRY_NOT_SUPPORTED when you try to provision
into it. Talk to your Telgea contact to have one enabled.
